Warranty Policy

H.B. Surf Co. Warranty Policy

At H.B. Surf Co., we take pride in producing products of the highest quality, adhering to industry standards. Each of our products undergoes quality checks at both our factories and warehouses to ensure they meet our standards before shipping. We are committed to delivering top-notch products, and our warranty policy is designed to address any issues related to manufacturing defects.

Warranty Coverage:

  • Our Limited Warranty covers repairs or replacements for manufacturing defects for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please note, this warranty is non-transferable in the event of resale.
  • If a repair can be made at Hurst Marina, we will not offer a product replacement, and we do not offer compensation for loss of use during the repair process.

Warranty Process:

  • For any warranty claim, the product must first be returned to Hurst Marina’s Pro Shop for inspection. The cost and logistics of returning the product will be the responsibility of the product owner.
  • To proceed with a warranty request, you will need to provide proof of purchase, such as your sales receipt.

Exclusions: While we strive for the highest quality, there are certain factors that are beyond our control:

  • Environmental Damage: Damage caused by natural elements like UV rays, heat, wind, water, and sun exposure is not covered under this warranty. Additionally, contact with objects such as docks, rocks, vehicles, tie-downs, pavement, algae, mold, or chemicals that cause damage, discoloration, or delamination is also excluded from coverage.
  • Usage-related Damage: Common damage results from improper use, such as using a paddle to brace off a dock or shoreline, or using the board in shallow water where it contacts the bottom. We recommend staying kneeling near docks and ensuring the water is deep enough to prevent the board from hitting the bottom when entering from the shore.
  • Inflatable Boards: One of the most common issues with inflatable SUPs is seam failure. This can occur when a board is inflated in cool weather and then exposed to heat from the sun. The expansion of the air in the board can cause small leaks or, in some cases, dramatic bursts. To avoid this, we recommend reducing pressure if you plan to leave your board in direct sunlight or if the weather is warm.

Warranty Limitations:

  • H.B. Surf Co. reserves the right to amend this policy at any time, without notice, to reflect any changes in company practices or product offerings.
  • H.B. Surf Co. will, at its sole discretion, either repair, replace, or provide replacement parts for any defective product covered under this policy.
