Because of the nature of paddle boarding, we cannot guarantee against damage or breakage and cannot protect or warranty against circumstances outside of our control. Damage caused by any natural element including ultra violet rays, sun, heat, wind and water are not covered for free repair or replacement by H.B. Surf Co. Furthermore if any H.B. Surf Co. hard board, inflatable board, paddle, fin or accessory comes in contact with objects like docks, rocks, vehicles, tie downs, pavement, algae, mold, hazardous waste, corrosive chemicals and so on causing damage, discoloration or de lamination it will not be warranty repaired or replaced.

Common failures for all paddle products are from contact with hard surfaces such as using the paddle to brace or punt off of the dock or shoreline. Try to stay kneeling on the board near docks. Use your hands to navigate your path away from the solid objects before attempting to stand up on the board or use the paddle. If entering the water from the shore make sure the water is deep enough so that when your weight is added to the board that it doesn’t come in contact with the bottom of the water way. Exposure to UV, Sun, heat and chemicals will cause discoloration, expansion and de lamination. Keep your product protected, dry and away from harmful elements to prolong the life of the board, paddle and it's accessories. Regarding inflatable boards the most common problem is seam failure. This occurs when a board is inflated to full pressure in cooler weather and then the board is left to sit in the sun. The heating from the sun causes expansion and if the inflated board is already at maximum capacity it has no where to go. In these instances the board can burst in a dramatic fashion or it can cause small slow leaks in one or more of the tight radius corners at the tail or nose. If there is no option to put the board away in these instances then the pressure must be reduced to allow for expansion.
